A Super Mechanoid is the result of combination between a Mechanoid and support machinery, vastly increasing the Mechanoid's size and power. All Super Mechanoids to date have a name that is a permutation of GaoGaiGar - GaoFighGar, Genesic GaoGaiGar and GaoGaiGo are all classified as Super Mechanoids (though the latter is technically a Super Neuromechanoid instead). Combination invariably involves an outside operator (normally Mikoto Utsugi) to smash their hand into a plate of some sort, which engages the Drive portion of combination and allows for the combination (known as Final Fusion) to occur. As part of combination, the crown G-Stone on the Mechanoid extends forward to fill a gap in the helm placed over its head.

All Super Mechanoids are piloted by a cyborg, Evoluder, Dual Kind or other being capable of utilizing G-Stone energy. The control system varies between units: versions of Gaogaigar copy the pilot's movements via unknown means; GaoFighGar records movements via mechanical cylinders around the pilot's limbs; and Gaogaigo is controlled by the pilots' nerve impulses, transmitted via Linker Gel interface.

Super Mechanoids are also known as Gods of Destruction - as seen in the title of Episode 2 of King of Braves GaoGaiGar FINAL, the title does not only apply to Genesic GaoGaiGar.
